What is minimum and maximum weight of the goods you can ship?

We specialize in air cargo weighing at least 5 kg. There is no upper weight limit for large or heavy cargo shipped under our Heavy Lift Project.

Can you ship dangerous goods?

Our company meets the requirements of logistics providers that are engaged in the transportation of chemical goods. We have a SQAS certificate that demonstrates the quality of our control tools and the security of our operational activities when working with all products, whether dangerous or not. Our own fleet of vehicles and drivers have been certified according to the ADR Convention. Today, we ship all but the first and seventh classes of dangerous goods.

What methods ensure the safety of hatching eggs during transport?

AsstrA strictly adheres the sanitary rules and requirements of egg transportation. This ensures the safety of the cargo and all its qualities. All transport is adapted for this type of perishable good and provides the optimum temperature inside the vehicle or container. Rules for the transport of fragile goods require special markings on the container. On the boxes and boxes are affixed distinctive symbols. Specialists of the company also monitor loading and unloading operations in order to avoid the cooling or overheating of eggs. In addition, AsstrA applies preventive measures to minimize the danger of contamination of the cargo.

How is cocoa transported?

Dense bags made of natural coarse fibers are used to transport cocao beans. Cocoa raw materials are transported in naturally ventilated containers. An important condition for transportation is to comply with the minimum limits of water content in the product, packaging, and container coating surface. The surfaces of the container must be dry and clean and the percentage of moisture in them should not exceed the established limits. Maintaining a certain low level of humidity allows you to avoid additional formation of water vapor inside the container and prevent the spoilage and rotting of grated cocoa. To avoid damage from water absorption and to ensure the product’s dryness, wrapping paper is used to cover a container used for raw cocoa. To regulate the level of humidity inside the container, special filters with antioxidant properties or non-woven insulating materials are also used.

What is the best time to transport olives?

Olive shipments are not seasonal and are therefore are carried out throughout the year. Temperature fluctuations do not adversely affect olives. With air temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, however, this food product deteriorates and becomes unsuitable for further consumption. In the cold season olives are therefore transported observing the appropriate temperature regime.

Efficiency is a prerequisite for the transportation of many goods including, for example, vegetables and fruits. To ensure timely delivery, the company organizes transportation by teams of two drivers. Drivers work in shifts to ensure non-stop progress around the clock.

AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG transports all product groups whose quality requires plus, minus, or deep minus temperature regimes such as food products of plant and animal origin, processed products, dairy and sour milk products, confectionery, semi-finished products, medicines and related products, and much more. Confectionery products containing cream are also included in the category of perishable goods if their specific moisture content exceeds 13%. Live transports, chemical products, cosmetics, medicines and other goods, including dangerous ones, are also allowed for refrigerated shipments.

Are there any dangerous goods whose air transportation is strictly prohibited?

AsstrA follows International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines that prohibit taking certain corrosive, toxic and radioactive substances on board an aircraft. The various hazard classes have more complex characteristics. For example, class 6 goods are divided into toxic and infectious types. There are detailed procedures for labeling, fixing, packaging, and delivery. Special measures for ensuring aviation security and requirements for the aircraft crews are also described.

What are the requirements for shipping live animals?

The delivery of cattle, sheep, and horse by road is strictly regulated by veterinary authorities. For the feeding of animals and their well-being, carriers will organize regular stops at specially designated places. During the transportation of cattle, adult bulls, cows, and young animals are kept separately to ensure the safety of animals. Joint delivery of cattle and other animals is prohibited. AsstrA carefully monitors changes in the national and international legal regulation of live animal transportation and ensures safe and timely transportation, taking into account the characteristics of each particular product.

AsstrA provides the full range of services supporting the transportation of potash, chlorine-containing, nitrogen, lime, phosphate mineral fertilizers. Transportation of sulfur-containing fertilizers is one of the corporate group’s most sought after services.

How are alcohol products transported?

Transportation of alcohol is carried out using sealed, clean vehicles providing constant levels of humidity and temperature. A common requirement is to completely darken the cargo area. In order to ensure the integrity of fragile glass containers, the loads are necessarily fastened to the vehicle. Before transportation, bottles with alcoholic beverages are packed in boxes, which are then placed on wooden pallets inside the vehicle. In order to avoid breaking the bottles of alcohol in the process of loading and unloading, special lifts are used which can easily lift loaded pallets. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with additional security systems including a tracking system, an alarm system, an additional lock, and electronic anti-theft devices such as an immobilizer.

Are the special conditions for the transportation of grain?

When organizing the transportation of grain, it is important to take into account the characteristics of the cargo. AsstrA specialists pay close attention to ensuring the safety of cargo. Therefore, grain is transported exclusively with a specialized fleet. This allows you to completely eliminate the impact of external factors on the cargo. When transporting grain by rail, specialized grain wagons are used.
